A Certified Master Instructor to Guide You
Carol Denicker will be your live virtual hypnosis trainer for the duration of your time in the class. I am a certified master instructor with the National Guild of Hypnotists, who provided the curriculum for this course. This curriculum is approved by the New York Board of Education, so you can trust that you’ll be learning the best techniques and processes for hypnotherapy.
I’ve practiced hypnosis for 30 years, so I’m familiar with applying the principles and techniques that I will be teaching you in this virtual course.

A good internet connection and the desire to learn are all you need!
At NYHTC, we are pleased to offer on-site and LIVE online training. Below please find the online training FAQs which can answer some of your frequently asked questions about our training.
LIVE Online training may be the answer for you.
What does “LIVE online” mean?
It is not pre-recorded. The class is designed and structured for online delivery. Everyone in your class is connected via Zoom Pro.
As long as you can see me and hear me and your classmates you will be able to experience the same benefits as you would experience with in-person training.
What are the benefits of training online?
- Just click on the link you’ll receive in an email and you’re there!
- You train in the comfort and security of your own home.
- There are no travel, lodging, or meal expenses.
- There are no bad weather issues or traffic delays.
What is the difference between “LIVE Online Training” and “Online Training”?
At NYHTC we do NOT Pre-record Online Training:
Pre-recorded online training means that students learn on their own schedules (self-paced learning) without a real-time instructor. The course content or lessons are prerecorded video lectures and tutorials, tests, and assignments that can be accessed by the students enrolled in the course as long as the course is active and available.
We offer LIVE Online Training:
LIVE Online Training is synchronous instruction. Classes have not been prerecorded. This means our classes are organized in a live virtual classroom (on Zoom) where students and instructors meet and communicate by voice and video. The instruction is accomplished with voice, video, whiteboard, and PowerPoint. You participate actively in many ways. You can raise your hand and interact with your instructor and classmates. LIVE online classes require students and instructors to be online at the same time. It’s simple, you “report” to your computer at the required time just as you would “report” to school at the start of the day’s class. All students must be online and connected to the internet at that specific hour.
Is online training as effective as in-person training?
Absolutely! A knowledgeable instructor who is familiar with operating the Zoom “classroom” along with qualified students who are eager to learn creates the positive, interactive environment we need. In some ways, it’s preferable because it’s so easy to interact with your classmates as a group and also be able to practice techniques in the quietness of breakout rooms that students are relocated to for practice sessions. It’s easier for the instructor to supervise and guide your practice sessions in private breakout rooms as well. All this in the safety and comfort of your own home!
What do students need to do or know before taking live, online training?
What are the similarities and differences between LIVE Online and the traditional classroom?
Think of what you do in a physical classroom; you raise your hand, speak to the instructor, say yes or no, participate in class discussions, listen to a lecture while looking at content and your training materials, view a demo, do exercises to reinforce learning, and so on. All these things are available to you in the online classroom as well.
As the instructor, I see my students as they enter the virtual classroom; I call on them when they raise their hands and allow them to speak; I work closely with them, explaining concepts, demonstrating hypnotic inductions, and various techniques. I also supervise students while they practice what they’ve just learned. Students are encouraged to ask questions and to feel welcome to contact me after class if they need further clarification.
Students need to know how to use a mouse, interact with a browser, and send and receive an email. You will receive an email with the link to the classroom. We use the same link throughout the ten-day course. Your NYHTC certification training is just a click away.
After I have explained a concept and demonstrated it, the class is divided into groups of 2 and assigned breakout rooms (practice space) wherein, besides the two practice partners, only I will enter and observe their practice. I offer advice and comment on your progress with the new skills you learned. After practice sessions, all re-enter the classroom for a short review and your remaining questions will be answered.
What can I expect from Carol Denicker, the instructor?
Expect to work with a world-class trainer who truly loves her work. NYHTC students quickly discover that I’m well qualified and experienced in hypnosis and NLP. I am licensed to teach these courses by the NYS Education Department (BPSS). I love teaching and interacting with my students. Small classes ensure that everyone has my attention and can fully absorb the content of each lesson. I “walk you through” concepts, techniques and supervise practice sessions. I’m always happy to discuss your concerns and answer your questions. The classes are always focused but relaxed. We’re serious about following the approved curriculum but we always have time for a laugh!
How will I participate and receive assistance during class?
Using the microphone and audio on your device, you can listen to and speak with me as well as any of your classmates, so getting involved is really easy. Simply ask a question using the mike on your computer. If you prefer to submit questions or comments via the “chat” function, you can easily do that as well. Students are encouraged to call on me by text, email or phone for help before, during, and after they have completed their training.
I’m eager to meet you and teach you about the amazing world of hypnotism online soon. If I haven’t answered all of your questions please call 888-828-4934 Ext 3 and I will be happy to discuss them with you.
